Message from the President

Dear Members and Friends,

I like to thank all of you who have been able to attend our 40^th anniversary celebration on Oct. 21, 2011 which was a great success.  The Mayor of the City of Edmonton, Mayor Stephen Mandel, also attended our function to bring greetings from the City as well as present our association with a plaque in commemoration of our anniversary.

Dr. Horst Schmid, one of our long term members, who held several ministerial positions in the provincial government, spoke to us about the history of our association and mentioned several of our past members who were also present at the celebration.  We also had entertainment during and after the formal part of the evening.  I also like to thank all the sponsors, Kurt Miller for the champagne and Christian Findt, Building Technologies for the wine, as well as the donors for the door prizes, Ulli Robson, Kurt Miller, Paul Curcio - PrinterWorld, Christian Findt - Building Technologies and Bavaria BMW.

Our next meeting will take place on Nov. 8 at the National Institute of Technology of the University of Alberta where there will be a lab tour as well as presentations, speakers and hors d’oeuvres.

Time:  Tours start at 4.30 pm and formal start with presentations at 5.30 pm.
