Message from the President

Dear Members and Friends,

On Nov. 08 we had our regular monthly meeting at the National Institute of Nanotechnology.  Besides a laboratory tour, there were also several speakers who spoke about the importance of nanotechnology for Alberta as well as about novel products, which were developed at the University of Alberta, the National Institute for Nanotechnology, and the Alberta Centre for Advanced MNT Products.  I herewith like to thank our board member, Mr. Michael Thomas, for organizing this memorable event at the university as well as speakers and tour guides who made their time available to our associations. You will find more information about the topics and the presenters on our website.

We have reserved some tables for the Christmas Party which the Cultural Centre will be putting on. The Christmas party is on December 2nd; doors will open 5:30p and dinner starts 6:30p. We hope to see many of you there, please, make your personal reservations as soon as possible either through your website account or at secretary@gcbpaa.ca. We are also in the process of planning our January meeting.  For more details and up to date information please visit our website at www.gcbpaa.ca

I wish you all a terrific start to the upcoming Festive Season, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and all the best and successful 2012.
